Women in Refuge: Stories from the Border of Colombia and Venezuela

For the past five decades, Colombia has been home to an internal armed conflict that has lead to the second largest humanitarian crisis in the world. The past 20 years of conflict have claimed the lives of approximately 70,000 people, the majority of them civilians, who were not taking active part in the hostilities. More than four million people have been internally displaced, and others have "disappeared." The exact number of Colombians who have fled their country due to the conflict is unknown.
