South Sudan: education opens minds

The Jesuit Refugee Service offers basic English courses to adults in Maban, South Sudan. For some students, this is their first opportunity to step foot in a classroom. Mohamed Ajak, a native of Maban county, teaches dozens of Sudanese refugees in Doro refugee camp. He and his student, Farah Moshawash, share their experiences in this video. In 2015, JRS offered English courses in four refugee camps in Maban; in 2016, the organisation will focus on extending access to the host community.
