Thailand: Educating Burmese children in Ranong

JRS works in six learning centres in Ranong, Thailand. This port city on the Burma border hosts thousands of Burmese people who migrate here to work on fishing boats and in fish factories. Because of the difficulties accessing education in a Thai school, JRS has learning centres to educate the children of these migrants and facilitates the option of getting a Thai education. Of the 20,000 Burmese children in Ranong, less than 3,000 are in school.
